International applications are made through the university's online application system, where an applicant may choose up to three academic programmes in order of preference. The International Office issues an acceptance letter after the placement decision, and that letter is used to apply for a student visa at a Turkish consulate. Undergraduate applicants upload a passport, a photograph, a language certificate and their high school diploma and transcript; registration additionally requires a translated and notarised diploma and transcript, the diploma equivalency certificate (denklik) where needed, and health insurance. The site states the equivalency certificate can be obtained from the Turkish Education Attaché at a Turkish embassy or consulate, or in Istanbul if no attaché exists in the applicant's country.
